The evening lighting was interesting on this first image. Coming from the upper right it is so bright it virtually washes out all color in the upper third of the image, while at the same time, it is low enough to force the lower right mountainside into shadow. Meanwhile, the still waters of Maroon Lake managed to reflect the entire scene.
